A quick shout-out (yeah, I just said that) to Chris Augeri who mentioned a.placebetween.us on his blog Forest Road!
For those who do not know, (read: everyone) A Place Between Us is a tool that will let you and someone you’re meeting find a good mid-way point for meeting. You get to pick the type of meeting place, like “coffee” or “thai food.”
This was conceived by Aron and me (and then built by Aron) when we were working on a startup in 2007. We were working from our homes and always looking for places to meet each other or other people.
Now you know.
Matthew: I just ran across “a.placebetween.us”, while planning a meeting of a group of people who live all over sprawling Houston, Texas. A non-profit association that I belong to has almost 180 people who might come to a future meeting. I would like to find the central location of their home addresses. Would you consider making it easier to upload a list of addresses, or maybe just ZIP codes, to find the approximate midpont? P.S. The association is non-profit, but if you like, I could make a modest donation to a charity of your choice. (also written to Aron’s email). Cheers and thanks again.
