Announcing Boston Web Co-founder Mixer I

Update: This event has been cancelled.Yeah, it's kind of like dating.

I’d like to announce the Boston Web Co-founder Mixer. This is a small, free, invite-only event for founders of Boston-based web startups who are seeking co-founders.

The event will be held at my home in Brookline Village on Thursday, February 10, 2011 from 7:00 PM ET to 9:00 PM ET. There is plenty of parking and it is very close to the Green Line D and E branches, as well as the 66 bus which leaves from Harvard Square.

There will be beer, cocktail fixins (but you’re gonna have to make them yourself!) and some sort of hors d’oeuvres. (Ooh. Sounds fancy!)

The plan is to invite about 20 people with a good mix of profiles: technical, designers, business, etc. as well as people who are pursuing a project and people who are looking to join someone else’s project. Early in the evening, we’ll go around the room and everyone will give a 60 second rundown of why they’ve attended.

You can sign up for the event here! Sign-up closes at 11:59 PM ET on Friday, February 4, 2011. Invitees will be notified by the following Monday. (I’m assuming there will be enough interest … if there isn’t, I’ll let you know!)

If you have other ideas about format, how it should work or questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me.

Please spread the word!
